The reconfigured drainage solution to keep water out of the garage seems to be the right choice. Just need some more rain to make sure! The work was done quickly, right on schedule, and within budget. Andrew gave a window for when the work could be completed and also worked around our schedule. Great small family business. I can't say enough good things about Andrew and Matt Hillstrom of Hillstrom Bros. Landscaping. I don't write many reviews & don't provide gushing reviews unless I really mean it. These guys deserve 10 stars, I strongly recommend you end your search now and give them a call! We moved to South Shore recently and hired Hillstrom Bros for a decent-sized project, including a full lawn replacement, along with planting beds, installing up-lights, and pouring a hot tub pad. We obtained several competing quotes, and the original quote was on-market or better than other companies with comparable reputations. What most caught our eye, though, was other customer reviews. Hillstrom Bro's customers are uncommonly passionate about the quality of service these young men provide, and now I understand why. They arrived on time every day and were highly transparent, communicative, and professional throughout. One thing that definitely stood out was that Andrew & Matt were onsite themselves for the full duration of the job, sweating and directly overseeing their crews. They have an eye for detail and the care of business owners trying to build a sterling reputation. They don't run multiple crews around town managed by crew leads that, however competent, just don't have the skin in the game to care as deeply about quality & customer satisfaction. This had a noticeable impact on the crew's efficiency and the final results. As one example, while laying some pavers, Matt was trying to make sure the spacing was PERFECT. At one point, I even had to tell him, "I think that's good enough, we're happy!" Once on-site, my wife & I added a number of small items to the scope, including, unfortunately, having to fix damage caused by another contractor, which we discovered during the job after the other guy had just buried the problem (literally). When we received the final bill, we were charged very fairly for the amount of work that was done. I was really appreciative of how judicious they were in pricing the add-ons, I've been gouged on scope changes in the past. They really worked with us to keep the cost reasonable while delivering every single thing that we requested. If you hire Hillstrom Bros, you will not be disappointed--we plan to use them exclusively for all of our landscaping needs in the future. Support some kind & hard-working young men and local business owners trying to build a business the right way--through hard work, professionalism, integrity & delivering a quality product at a fair price!
